Data management for Global Evidence generation

LSP data management process follows a structured workflow and statistical approach supporting the scaling up from local (DS) to global (LSP) perspective. This approach involves each phase of the global outcomes generation value chain.

The evidence generation process requires that the outcomes of the impact evaluation are as much as possible representative for the entire population taken into exam. In a research study is quite difficult to enroll and assess an entire population. In order to overcome this issue, it is crucial to select a minimum population size that can be representative of the real population for that specific study.

ACTIVAGE population consists of 4.972 users really entered in the study (3.569 elderly and 1.403 formal/informal caregivers). To determine the sample size to which the questionnaires must be administered in order to get valuable assessment outcomes, the following parameters have been applied:

  • Confidence level: 99%
  • Confidence interval: 5%
  • Population size: people involved in each DS by the ACTIVAGE’s end.

Accordingly, at least, a total amount of 1.947 elderly and 900 formal/informal caregivers (tot. 2847 users) has been needed in the ACTIVAGE LSP study to get valuable and significant evaluation.
